Spelbrädet står fast.. annat rör på sig och jag trivs med tempot. Motspelaren skruvar upp saker nu, med sin parhäst vid sin sida. De verkar dock ha missat att deras samordnade offensiv slår blint; den raderar eller hotar inte min position, utan drar enbart med sig semaforviftarnas eget underlag. Och lill-pålle är inte ens medveten om vad Staffan stalledräng egentligen haft för sig med havreransonen.

I och med läget, har jag mycket tid som jag ägnar åt att komponera (kul att vara igång igen), programmera och att umgås med min familj med vår nya ögonsten: Ossian 2,5år.

Had opencode build a scraper for Homeland Security arrests.
It was extremely unwilling.. talked about risk of doxing; harming communities etc.
Took a long reasoning before opencode would agree.

It’s nothing complicated.. very basic scraping using nokogiri.. so I could have done it myself in about 20-30 minutes. Instad it took 10 minutes of refusal and 5 minutes of bugs.

First things first: I am not an one of those people who either gets all excited over AI, nor am I worrying about them “taking over the world”.

My limited experience is that AI is often quite stupid.. they are either hampered in their reasoning by political reasons.. or just not able to draw conclusions. Often they act stubborn and will spend ten minutes telling you that you can’t use ‘it’ inside a Ruby block.. or that Beatles wrote the music on the record that Holden bought his sister in ‘Catcher in the Rye’.

WIth AI.. I am careful. I can not even start to list all stupid claims different AI stated as facts. But I realize that weak people might look to AI as “authority”.

AI was actually helpful.. and told me that being fed false information from someone perceived to be in authority.. was called and could lead to “hallucinations”.

That got me thinking.

Doctors, Lawyers, Politicians, Press.. all false authorities.. creating mass hallucinations.

As I mentioned in a previous post.. installing reapack under Manjaro Linux will fail unless you have libxml2-legacy installed.

I have installed Tukans effects and his synth. On my machine it doesn’t show up under Instruments. I am not that great with Reaper.. so I just routed it manually and saved it as a template.

Another thing is the mouse zoom. I hate the default setup. I set Vertical Zoom Center to Track under mouse and Horizontal Zoom Center to Mouse cursor. The settings is in Preferences -> Appearence -> Zoom/Scroll/Offset.

Fick tag i den gamla boken “ett recept - hundra bröd” och gjorde ett grahamsbröd i järngryta idag. Det blev bra. Det är andra natten med minusgrader.. men det går bra med eldningen.

Två anledningar: vedsorten är björk.. och inte någon blandning med 60% al, 20% bok och 20% björk. Den andra anledningen är att jag har upptäckt samverkan medllan pumpens hastighet och shuntens olika lägen. Det går på en timme att ha 160L 60-gradigt vatten i pannan.. och därefter sippra ut detta vatten i elementrören under natten.

Svensk demokrati verkar gå ut på att små partier ska hindra större partier från att “få inflytande”.

Det är sinnebilden av den svenska demokratin: Ett fyra-procent-parti tycker att de värnar “demokratiska principer” när de lyckas hålla ett trettio-procent-parti helt utanför.

Två dagar i rad har min son skadat sig på dagis.

Först blev han riven i ansiktet av ett annat barn. Strimmor av rött på hans kinder och käke.

It’s not unusual we get to hear that “the law is flawed” and “we need to change the law”.

Most often it seems that the law is OK.. it’s the interpretation of the law that sucks.

It’s almost impossible to write down law.. like it is almost impossible to write down a handbook on “how to walk”: 1) stand up, 2) lift one leg, 3) place the foot of the lifted leg ahead of your other foot, 4) repeat steps 1-3 with every other leg.

Jag är inte jätteinsatt.. men det verkar som om politiker i riksdagen vill ändra grundlagen på så sätt att det krävs en kvalificerad majoritet för att genomföra grundlagsändringar.

Denna kvalificerade majoritet (två tredjedelar) verkar dock inte gälla nu.. när denna grundlagsändring (utan mellanliggande val), ska införas.

Som jag läser mig till är det bara SD som röstar emot.

Varför vill man genomföra detta?

Gissningsvis handlar det om att ges möjlighet att försvåra för partier som vill ändra nuvarande system. Ett parti som vill minska invandring och öka utvisning, ska kunna motarbetas av en “kvalificerad minoritet” (en tredjedel).

Jag hade nostalgiska känslor kring “Egen rymddräkt finnes” / “Have Spacesuit - Will Travel” av Heinlein. Likaså hade jag nostalgiska känslor kring bokserien “Dunder & Brak” av Hans-Eric Hellberg.

Det blir inte bra att läsa om en del saker.

Det beror ju helt och hållet på om nostalgi är en bra känsla. Det är en bitterljuv känsla. Den gör lite ont.. men det onda känns lite bra. Det är en ganska komplicerad känsla.

The father looks kind of acting. He definitely takes the ball while the woman tries to grab it. He sorts of acts surprised when she confronts him.. and overdo it. Even the hug he gives his kid when he arrives with the ball looks fake and contrived.

On the other hand: a ball up there is ‘game on’. If you where just to grab it and someone else beat you to it.. you lost it. It’s not yours until you secured it.

Min fru kom hem med böcker hon sett ut på bibliotekets småbarnsavdelning. I den ena boken går en björn omkring och rättar till orättvisor. Till exempel får snigeln Achmed inte “vara med” för han har “fel färg”.

I en annan bok ska trollen rädda skogen som är utsatt för klimatpåverkan.

En tredje bok handlar om en flicka som är “bra ändå” fast hon har TVÅ mammor.

Tre böcker - mer eller mindre utvalda på måfå.. så får man det här resultatet. Vad håller biblioteken på med?

Took a while.. seems like pandoc, ghostwriter, manuskript and nb has an optional dependency on some haskel library. They can live without it.

The culprit was shellcheck. After removing that.. I was able to rid my system of thousands of haskel libs.

Re-reading Ripley Under Water again. First read it around 1978, then when The Talented Mr. Ripley with Matt Daemon premiered.. that was 1999.

About 2010 I decided to watch every Ripley-movie I could find.. among them: Ripleys Game (from 2002) and Ripley Under Ground (from 2005). I also re-read the complete book-series.

There was also some quite good BBC-radio theatre adaptations. I always felt that Richmal Cromptons William is the boy who grew up to be Ripley.

If the book seems to be about one person taking on the entire police-force and maffia.. I look elsewhere.

Tydligen har Åkesson skämts så mycket över sitt partis historia att han haft svårt att sova.

Mattias Karlsson är “känslomässigt påverkad” och “äcklad” och kommer förmodligen att behöva gå i någon form av terapi.

En vaktmästare som jobbat på SD:s kansli i Uddevalla är även han drabbad och har fått så sura uppstötningar att det påverkat hans jobb.

Såg eftermälet av en bilolycka igår.. strax utanför Simrishamn.. vid rastplatsen. EN buss med trasig front och spräckt framruta på vänster sida stod vid vägkanten. Den hade varit på väg ut från Simrishamn. En bit bort stod en bil i diket. Vänster bak var tillknycklad. Vänster sidoplåt mellan dörrarna var tillknycklad. Den stod på snedden.. med fronten mot havet.

Jag kunde inte riktigt se framför mig hur olyckan hade gått till. Mitt första intryck var att bilen - på klassiskt turistmanér - hade svängt ut i vägbanan från rastplatsen. Men det stämde inte med skadorna baktill och på vänster sida.

Varför finns det ingen officiell väg till att läsa äldre svenska tidningar som skattebetalare är med och subventionerar?

Jag vet att man - över nätet - kan läsa vissa inscannade tidningar från 1800-talet via KB (tror jag). Men om du vill veta vad politiker sa om en viss sak för fyra år sedan, får då antingen gå till BackwayMachine eller snällt sätta dig på ett bibliotek och manuellt söka igenom vad biblioteken är villiga att plocka fram (dom begränsar hur många årgångar du får se per dag).

Today was a day of computer mishaps: First I couldn’t update, because Mousepad was corrupt. I removed cache and unused repos.. then tried sudo pacman -Syyu. Didn’t work. I uninstalled Mousepad and I could update.

Then the Grub menu was gone and the computer booted straight into Linux. After some research I found that GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE was set to hidden. I set it to menu and ran update-grub.

Still didn’t work.. the menu was back, but my Windows partition was not listed. More reading. I found out I had to have the Windows partition mounted when running update-grub. Now it’s ok.

När man läser om Gustav Hemming och Region Stockholms ovilja att komma med beslut angående hans krav på pension.. låter det som om regionen vill avvakta polisens förundersökning och eventuellt åtal och dom.

Anledningen till det kan vara att regionen ser juridisk möjlighet att neka Hemming pensionen i det fall han döms för brottslighet.

Personligen tycker jag fallskärmar för politiker borde avskaffas. Jag tycker också avgående politiker borde ha en yrkesmässig karantän på tio år efter de lämnat politiken. Jag tycker deras pensioner borde beräknas på samma sätt som för folk i gemen. Slutligen tycker jag brist i god vandel skulle vara skäl för uppsägning av politiker, utan annan ersättning än lön under uppsägningstid (3 månader).

Man känner igen dom på billig skit.

Med varumärken som ‘Andersson’ och ‘Havsö’ försöker man få konsumenten att tro att domm shoppar svenskt.

Det verkar också mysko med CE-certifieringen av elvaror. Det finns en vattenkokare som Dollarstore säljer.. som aldrig skulle kunna passera någon form av kontroll. Och den har sålts i flera år.

Idag gjorde jag en tjockpannkaka på vete- och grahamsmjöl med champinjoner och fetaost.

3 dl idealmjöl.
1 dl grahamsmjöl
6 dl mjölk
4 ägg

Förstek champinjoner i smör (champinjoner suger smör, så ta i ordentligt). Medan de steker: blanda ihop mjölen; mjölken och äggen i en bunke.

När chaminjonerna börjat få färg.. klicka i mer smör. När det smält: häll champinjoner och smält smör i smeten. Rör om snabbt (så inte värmen börjar koagulera äggen). Smula ner en bra bit fetaost och häll ut på tjockbottnad, smord plåt som ställs in i förvärmd ugn (225 grader).

Got myself a Ukulele (under the pretence it was a ‘baby guitar’ for my son).

And sure.. he uses it a little. He has his toy mechanical piano; his drumset.. but mainly the ukulele stays in my ‘man-cave’ (the name my wife uses for the little room where I keep my computer and music stuff).

It’s not that easy to play ukulele I find. Some chords are very tight with normal size hands.. like d-minor.. but even G-major. The string tension is also very low and you need to be careful not to bend the notes.

I seem to be the only one believing you would have almost one chance in five to throw the sum seven in backgammon.

I think it’s logic: 6/36 (=1/6) chance of getting the sum 7.
And a 1/6 chance of throwing a double.. and getting another chance of having 1/6 chance of getting the sum 7.

For me.. that’s 19.44 % (or 7/36)

Jag tror det farligaste som skulle kunna hända Sverige är att människor inser hur allt är ställt och tror att SD skulle vara lösningen.

Dom ligger där - som en tidsinställd bomb - för att förstöra en framtid. OM SD hade varit ett vekligt parti.. hade dom inte suttit med i EU; skakat hand med Kristersson eller låtit saker bara fortsätta.

Jag tror det kan vara bra för Sverige att inte ha en lösning. Det brukar lösa saker.

I recommend both. Chase is a novella and the name of the main character. Decent story with a disappointing ending.

That's Not My Name is a fun book and a mystery that’s not obvious from chapter four. It has this Stephen King ‘gathering’ quality.. where a few, select people come together to fight evil or injustice.

Alas, the super-antagonist has to be pro home-schooling and for an off-grid lifestyle while the protagonist and his best friend both are sporting a dual-dad home. It doesn’t feel subtle..

Saw part IV of Jordan Seal’s Christmas song.. and he was talking about his Tascam model 12.. how he wished he could connect a certain input to a certain track.

On my DP-006 (Tascam), you have Input Settings and Assign.. so no trouble there. But on my R16 the inputs seems hardwired like this:

INP1 -> 1/9, INP2 -> 2/10 and so on up to INP8 -> 8/16.
But after the recording, you can re-assign the track.

One of the programs I use is Audacity. It can do a shit-ton of things with audio. And I use it for two things only:

Splitting up long mp4 / mp3 files into shorter ten-minute chunks.
Converting mp4 to mp3.

The rest is not of interest to me.

In order to really learn a program or system.. you must try to use it for EVERYTHING. Open cans with it; remote control the TV; fetch mail; download audiobooks…

As I finished ‘Curtain’ (A. Christie).. I now need to re-remember ‘The Affairs at Styles’ (or whatever it’s named).

I think I’ve read Curtain four times. And it’s a different experience reading a book when you’re fifteen, twenty, thirty-five or fifty.

Everytime YOU are new.. you should revisit your milestones.

Sometimes milestones comes in bunches. For me ‘And then there was none’, ‘Curtain’ of Christie and ‘The stones shall call’ (Rendell) are all merged into one experience. There are also Roald Dahl and the general feel of the month of December.

Jag testade att läsa Katarina von Bredows bok om Victor. Till att börja med verkar den ingå en triologi: “Victor” / “Ellinor” / “Leo” .. där man får följa dessa karaktärer i en slags triangeldrama.

When you read ‘Hunger’ by Knut Hamsun and then ‘The Invisible Man’ by George Orwell.. it is almost the same book.

Griffin is a total egoistic and so is the unnamed character in Hamsun’s book.

Superbasic: Superbasic was an variant of BASIC with many additions. It was developed at Sinclair Research by Jan Jones during the early 80’s.

What I remember most fondly about this dialect.. is that the line-numbers where gone! And you had Procedures, Methods and Functions.
No more GOSUB 300!
It was such a step-up from the BASIC of ZX81 and Spectrum.

I tried ‘vimb’.. who made the stupid decision to use numbered hints instead of lettered hints based on home-row. Vimb was also not very smart about javascripted links.

With Local Rest API you communicate with Obsidian over https.
You make a call GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE to local server using the API-key for secure connection.
